Iran's fight for democracy spans over seven decades through coups, revolutions, and brutal crackdowns. In this video, we trace the history of Iran's democratic movement from the 1953 MI6/CIA-backed coup to the Green Movement, Bloody Aban, and the 2022-Ongoing "Woman, Life, Freedom" uprising.
What connects these movements is the resilience of the Iranian people and their refusal to surrender to authoritarianism.
We look at how Iran’s civil society, especially its women and youth, are challenging the regime and demanding a future based on liberty, equality, and democracy.
What do you think? How should we help Iran? Is it our place to offer?
